“Adam created a new tooling experience that quickly became the first option people turn to for a full featured table in internal UI’s.”

Closing Thoughts
Contracted for Uber’s Core Data Platform Tools where the current tooling had a fairly simple grid with neither row nor column delineation, and had no functionality past the ability to display data in a columnar grid. Essentially, every single SaaS tool is a table under the hood. It usually contains a variety of visualizations of business data that allow users to reason about what needs to be done, and then more UIs to actually do the work. The new tooling component was designed to support slightly different styles for Label-Text, Text, Categorical, Numerical, Accounting, Date-Time and Boolean data. A dev implementing this component can now also choose to custom style a column any way they like while being sortable, searchable, and filterable.
